When photosynthesis takes place the production of a green pigment can be seen.

-pigment is from chlorophyll and is the main color/pigment produced. Other plants contain other colored pigments too.

The various colors produced can be separated by a process called "Chromatography"

-separation is done by separating the different chemical charges.

-couple of drops of the pigment can be placed onto a piece of paper, chromatography paper.

-paper is then dipped into a chemical and the plant pigments will then move based on their chemical charges.
