| Organisms require many different organ systems to carry out activities required for life.
Digestion: breakdown of food so that they can enter cell.
Circulation: movement of materials in an organism or cells.
Movement/Locomotion: change in position. Excretion: removal of waste products, ex. CO2, H2O, urine and sweat.
Respiration: conversion of energy in food to ATP which cells can use.
Reproduction: making of more organisms.
Immunity: ability to resist disease.
Coordination: control over various activities (nervous system, and endocrine glands). Synthesis: production of more complex substances by combining other substances together.
